CHEATA - About Us
The Centre for Healthcare Equipment and Technology Adoption (CHEATA) is based in Clinical Engineering at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust at the QMC campus. We are a contract-based support service that is uniquely embedded in the NHS – helping us to understand what the NHS wants from med-tech developers.
We work for a range of customers from large global enterprises through to start-up companies, as well as developers from academic institutions and the NHS. We help to ensure products and devices are fit for NHS adoption and wider commercialisation.
Evidence is crucial in device development and a robust evidence base show potential adopters and purchasers that it ‘does exactly what it says on the tin’. There is also a drive for real world evidence from supply chain and procurement specialists in NHS trusts.
We offer a range of expert-led services, including building device value proposition, health economic assessment and modelling, regulatory advice and support, and engagement with NICE and the NHS Innovation Service. We specialise in early health economic analysis to support and inform device development, ensuring the most relevant and cost-effective products are brought to market.
We work closely with the RSS Hub delivered by the University of Leicester and Partners to support project development and collaboration where opportunities align. If you would like to find out more about us, take a look at our website.
