Below is a list of databases and internet resources which give references to published research, these include primary and secondary research.

If you work for the NHS you can access all the databases provided by NHS Knowledge and Library Hub using an NHS Open Athens password (more details). Others in this list are available free of charge. Some are available by subscription and your University or institution will have its own arrangements.

Open Grey
Open access repository of “grey literature” (including theses, conference papers, technical reports) from major European research institutions covering the social sciences, science and some humanities.
Discontinued, last entries 2020.

OpenGrey has now been decommissioned. 
A MySQL database download is available from a link on the website. 
Formerly SIGLE, Open Grey was a multidisciplinary European
database for "grey" literature.   Coverage is best for the period
1980-2005.  The Archive for OpenGrey material can also be
found on the Dutch national centre of expertise and repository
