Introducing our Literature Review Toolkit
Our new online guide helps researchers to choose the right approach to finding and synthesising research evidence.
The literature review is a cornerstone of academic research, providing an overview of existing knowledge and evidence in a specific field, and underpinning any research that follows.
Conducting a review can, however, be a daunting task, requiring researchers to navigate, evaluate and synthesise a wide range of resources and findings from different studies.
To help researchers through this journey, we have created a literature review toolkit covering each stage of the review process. By understanding the different types of review, new and experienced researchers alike can choose the one that meets their needs and resources.
Each section of the toolkit focuses on one reviewing approach, outlining its purpose, characteristics and the likely time commitment involved. We have also included examples and video resources to support learning.
